Working on a 412. On top of the speaker baffle, there is a light bulb socket mounted, and a cutout on top of the speaker baffle. i reached down in there and find bits of old red colored cellophane type material. If i shine a light down in the hole, it does light up a portion of the grill cloth. Is this something that is aftermarket, or is it original?

I dono what the parts catalog for a 412 consisted of-- some of the older parts catalogs were poor, but if you have the catalog, you might look in it--it may show you ? Ron Rich

Quite a few companies were offering so called aftermarket kits to modernize an older jukebox. Especially when illuminated plastic (catalin) came up, light-up kits were offered. Ace Sales, Corocoran, Stark Novelty, Miraben, Gerber & Glass, Jacobs Novelty - just to name a few. This is what we could identify so far: www.jukebox-world.de/Forum/Archiv/Umbaumodelle.htm#US-ModelleIf you can let us see a photo somehow, there is a (very) small chance to say more. In this forum no pictures can be uploaded. MAybe you have a dropbox or any other photo host account somewhere. Hildegard
