Question.
I'm planning to replace/move the CMOS battery on my Rockola 1000 to prevent it from leaking and destroying the circuit boards.
Can anyone who has done this recommend a replacement battery?

Craig, Any 3 cell Ni-cad, supplying 3 volts or more--in the old daze, I would tell someone to go to Radio Shack, and purchase the least expensive telephone batt-- Do NOT re-install it inside that CCU--run a small wire outside the case,re-mount the case to the wall and mount the battery above, beside, the CCU--I use 2 sided tape, or Velcro to do this-- Also, while open, clean the contact surfaces on the CCU plug area--NO "spray" of any kind--do not get the black plastic wet with any chemical--it will eat it!!
