I have a Rockola Sybaris 474 that I purchased last summer. I have replaced the needle and cartdridge with a audiotech brand and my records are still skipping. I have had all of my records cleaned but it is still happening. The only appear to be skipping after about a minute into the song every time. Any suggestions?

Was the original cartridge defective? For a replacement, a robust unit is required like a cartridge for disco applications. Did you mean Audio Technica (audiotech), which one did you install? Have you checked the tracking weight after installation?

Why didja replace the cartridge in the 1st place-- didja oil the tone arm assembly ? Didja set the needle pressure correctly ? Ron Rich
