I purchased this at an antique store sometime ago. If it has a tag or nameplate with the words Wurlitzer, Seeburg, AMI and others, it gets my attention. Sometimes it gets me a lump on the head from the wife too. I suspect this was part of the WWII effort from Wurlitzer using their factory and skills to make things for the military as Seeburg, Rock-Ola and others did. I still think the Seeburg Black Widow Room was so amazing). I, wondered if anyone had any information or thoughts on this Wurlitzer Gizmo? I suppose it was to test communications equipment. Looks unused. War Surplus, probably. There used to be a lot of War Surplus Stores when I was a kid. imageshack.com/a/img924/1747/bhl9O0.jpgimageshack.com/a/img924/8731/FrQiRa.jpgimageshack.com/a/img923/8391/9i29Eb.jpg

Thanks Ron!! We got that resolved very quickly! I can hardly wait to tell my wife we own a brand new, old stock, Wurlitzer "1D-76/GX". Well, maybe I won't tell her that! When I bought it I probably told her it was a rare item and used to attenuate all Wurlitzer jukeboxes and everyone needs one of these rare devices. I'll probably hide it in the bottom of the 1015 and hope she forgets it in about ten years. I've already had it hidden about five years in my jukebox parts.

Congratulations Ron on 35years!!! I got you beat, a bit, with 49 years and 6 months with my wife and jukebox partner! The only time we had a real "jukebox" disagreement, that's memorable, was when I found a W-850 in Phoenix for $350 about 1972 (and a darn nice one at that). It was too big for our house at the time. I still tease her about that. Today our home is larger and I won in the end! I have managed to squeeze in 16 jukeboxes. Thanks for all the jukebox and electrical "educatin" ya have provided for many years!
