Rowe mm1 selector pin issue

I have a mm1 the issue that I am having is is that when I select  an odd record (b,d,f etc) the    it will select the correct pin, but I will also press the opposite  pin out(a,c,etc).  Here is the example if I select B1 and hold in the B, it will cycle and push out the b1 pin.  As soon as I release the B  button(or if I did not hold it in) it will push out the A1 pin.  I do have them manual and have spent a lot of time trying to track it down.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thank

If you look at the schematic, you will see that there is a changeover contact on the B, D etc pushbuttons that swaps the outside and inside select coils in the search unit. These contacts will not be making (unless you hold the button fully depressed) - dirty contacts maybe or the latch may need adjusting?
