Good evening, in order to bench test the 546B amp, am I correct that the jumpers on the mechanism receptacle are 1-2 and 3-8? Thanks

Good evening, in order to bench test the 546B amp, am I correct that the jumpers on the mechanism receptacle are 1-2 and 3-8? Thanks Hi, did you ever figure it out? I am about to test my 546B amplifier. Ron, to answer your question, these two jumpers are shown in broken lines, not in solid lines on the plug. When measuring between those pins on the selector side, they are not shorted. My understanding is that those pins indeed get 'shorted' when mechanism is ready to play (i.e. song selected), but I want to be 100% sure. Don't want to damage those Germanium transistors.

Hi Eugen, As far as I know-- those jumpers would indicate an "outside" connection between the points--Follow those lines on the schematic-- do they go to --like an on/off switch ?? Ron Rich

Hi Ron, yes, without those jumpers the amp would not even turn on. I was just confused that the jumpers were drawn in broken lines. But it does make sense, as they are not always closed, unlike jumpers in 1900 530 amp.
