Hello everyone,
This is my first post. I have a 1493 Rock-ola Princess and am having an issue with the selector not clearing out the previously played selections. I just ordered a manual so I am not sure about what things are actually called, but here is my best shot!
I make a selection, the arm goes around on the left side of the turn selector and finds the selection. The arm on the right side then finds the activated pin. The 45 record is put down, plays, and is put back into position. The right arm of the turn selection then rotates around back to the same selection and picks the 45 back up to play again. I have to manual push in the pin to stop it from playing. I know there is a little level that is suppose to hit the pin in, and I can see it wiggle, but it isn't strong enough to clear the selection.
Best,
Justin

Hi Justin, Do nothing at the moment-- wait till you have the manual that I hope you purchased from one of the suppliers listed in our FAQ's section. That is called a read out carriage, and the pin pusher is called a "hammer coil". Check to see what happens if more then one pin is in the selected position-- will the coil return the 2nd pin to the non-selected state ? Ron Rich

Ron,
Thanks. I have had my jukebox awhile, but just picked up interest in fixing it up. everything is working except the read out carriage will return the pin back to the non-selected state. I ordered a manual from ebay, before I found this forum. I'm gonna lookit over and see what I can find out. I did check to see if it returned a second pin to the non-seleted state and it does not. best. Justin.

Justin, Isn't there a drawing, or photo, of the AB switch in the service/parts manual? Ron Rich
