What is the green sticky ooze that is dripping from almost all of my electrical connections on my Wurlitzer 3800?

Just what you named it-- "green ooze" ! It's the "out-gassing" from the vinyl that covers the wires. Ron Rich

I assume all of this stuff interferes with the electrical connections and needs to be thoroughly cleaned, correct?

OK, The title got me. I had to check this out. Green Ooze! My first guess was some type of contact cleaner gone wrong. But degassing insulation, that's freaky! TCW

That green ooze happens all the time on pinball machines made in the late 70s and early 80s. It is the plasticizer in the insulation breaking down. I clean it off with some 99% isopropyl alchohol and an old toothbrush.
