The wires from my output transformer to the crossover do not seem to be right to me. I cant seem to find the reference in my CD-100E manual to the wiring connections from the output transformer to the crossover to confirm this. My Violet wire goes to Left E7 and my pink goes to Right E6. I would have thought the pink would go to Right E7. The black common goes to Left E1. As it is at present

If no external speakers are connected, in general, both speaker wires should be on the same taps on each channel. For instance, both on each E7 tap.

I agree they should both be on the same tap. Using E7 for both would send all the amp's available power to the internal speakers. Using one of the lower numbered taps would reserve some power for external speakers.
