Hi all
I have finally got the old Wurlitzer 2200 working after having to fit a replacement clutch pawl, the subject of my earlier thread. Everything is now working great except for when I select M3 or M5 I get a different record to what it should be. If I select M5 for example, the latch pin for M5 pops up as it should and the selector arm locates the pin and then resets it as it should, the only problem is then it plays B6 which is directly opposite M5 on the selector mechanism.
All of the electrics up to the latch pin would seem to be working but something after the reset of the pin is obviously wrong, does anybody have any ideas please?

Hi Colin, After you put the mechanism back together, did you perform the centring with either the tool provided or a medium size posi-drive screwdriver? You also might check the back stop pawls (see sticky). I once had a Wurlitzer where I had difficulty getting it to play all selections as it should, I think I had about 8 or 10 out of 200. It turned out that it had been messed with by a tinkerer which introduced linearity issues. I ended up having to redo a lot of adjustments associated with the read-out arms that don't normally get touched!
Norman.

I had the backstop pawls off for cleaning, so I guess that will be the problem. I managed to replace the clutch pawl without dismantling the mechanism so I didn’t have to use the centering tool.
As always, thanks for the help Colin
