Hi,
I have a Rhapsody ll 418 jukebox, it’s my first, I was able to get it working, but I have a few questions about the sound.
When it sounds right it sounds great, but the sound will go in and out. While playing, pressing buttons for another selection may sometimes cause the sound to start crackling or go really low or it sometimes just starts on its own, but it does it a lot. Sound will go away then come back but is always accompanied by crackling while doing that.
I’ve changed the stylus and that helped but did not fix.
I bought a bee cartridge but it does not fit right and is smaller then original
I just got the capacitor kit I ordered for the amp, but it did not include all the capacitors in the amp. It didn’t really help too much.
I’ve sprayed freeze spray looking for bad connections but have not found anything
Maybe it’s the time arm cable or speaker wiring?
Another question, I also have a Seeburg SC1 wallbox that I modified to work with an iPod so it has audio jack or rca’s for speakers, can I somehow connect the speaker outputs to the Rockola jukebox and just have the Rockola for the sound?
I don’t want to use the wallbox to make selections on the jukebox, just sound.
I tried wiring a little amp in the wallbox to use it’s speakers but I haven’t gotten that figured out yet.
Tha ks

Sounds similar to an issue I had and it was loose speaker connections. Trace your speaker wires from the amp all the way to the speakers to check ALL connections. Mine were loose at the point where you would add external speakers if you wanted. It can also be the tone-arm wire as the wires are very thin and when they break they can make intermittent contact.
Yes you can add external line input to the rock-ola. It is easiest to tap in to the wires going to the volume pot. You would need to disable the mute circuit but I think that is easy enough by removing the mute relay.

Hi Kelli, On the audio issue-- look at the power supply for the amp-- is it turned on/off with a contact switch ? Is that switch "buffered" with a good cap ? Are the contacts on that switch clean-pit/burr free, and making with enough force ? Whutz a "bee cartridge" ?? Yes, you can use the amp to power any other input source--if you match the impeadence correctly, and properly configure the muting circuit. Ron Rich
