Preparing to begin re-capping my 545 from my 2810. I am having difficulty finding the physical location of C-28 in the amp, its part number 74981, 4MFD 25V Nonpolarized. I wish there was more of a layout drawing like the offers, showing the location of each of these caps inside the amp box. That would make the job faster for me to be sure. Tom  |

I've got a 2910 at home and the manuals are there as well, but generally what I've seen with a non-polarized cap that size is that it's usually a crossover cap for a high frequency speaker/driver. Might want to take a peek at the wiring to the speakers to see if it's there.

Tom---You have a picture here of the PC board in that amp-- the cap you are looking or is not on the board--it's on the chassis.
Tony-- What's the purpose of re- showing the same photo ?
