Hello all,
I have a strange problem with a Seeburg LPC 480 Everything is working fine but at the 10th song it starts playing too slow. after a shutdown for 20 -30 minutes it again plays 9 songs and the 10th is again too slow.
So it is always that 10th song.
What could be the problem ? Overheating ? But what should be overheated ?
I can't find anything...

Not a strange problem for the LPC series.
It's probably that big 4 MFD capacitor in the auto speed unit.

I'm not sue there's an absolute way to make that determination; but if the can looks "puffy", it's bad.
I would change that capacitor anyway, it's a common point of failure.

Guyz, Sure there's a way to determine that-- easy, just touch your hand to that cap-- if your skin comes off, you've proven that cap is leaking ! You could also go to the electronics store, purchase a can of freeze spray, and squirt it onto both sides of the cap when it stops, If it then speeds up--proven ('course, the can of freeze spray will cost more then a new cap)---! Other things will cause that symptom, but as Marty stated--"it's --common--" Ron Rich

Quit using it before it starts to leak ! You should be able to get one from Piet, (jukebox revival) locally--check above in our FAQ's list of suppliers ! Ron Rich
