Evening folks from Florida,
I'm having an issue with my Princess not returning to home after moving from scan to operate. I thought it was the home switch, which I replaced, but no changes. All other functionality works, read/write/play. Except....once the last record is placed on the turntable and the wobble switch is deactivated, the turntable stops. If I manually actuate another record selection on the read out carriage, then the wobble switch takes over playing the record. So, I'm guessing this issue is also related to the scan>operate>return to home.
Any thoughts would be appreciated since the manual doesn't have a lot to say about the return to home function.

I would say that it has to be a home switch problem - if not the switch itself, then the wiring to/from the switch.

I agree Norman. I have studied the manual and took another look at the home switch. I did see an issue with the home switch. Pictures below are the old switch and the new switch. The new (to me) switch was missing the spring and contact. It had fallen out while I was installing. I feel certain that this will correct it. Stay tuned...   |

JT,
There's a whole flock of differences in those two switches ! My guess is the 2nd one is closer to correct then the 1st one ! Do NOT allow the assembly to run in reverse, over that roller--it will bend it the same as it did on the first switch !!! Ron Rich

I agree Ron. Huge difference between the 2! I’ll get the second one installed soon and report back the outcome. Fingers crossed this corrects.
