Hi all, since a few days, I have this issue with the speed of the discs varying only when B face is played. Face A plays perfectly. Looks like it has something to do when the disc is put at a higher position for the Face B to be played.
I checked the idle wheel, its spring, the inner side of the flywheel and nothing wrong. I checked the base of the shaft and the clutch spring and nothing wrong.
Seems to me that everytime that the shaft rotates at a certain point, the speed is reduced then back to normal.
Any idea where I could continue searching? Cheers
Fab

Hi Fab, How can this be ? There is only one difference if changing from side A to side B--that's the gripper arm itself- Is the record "hitting" the gripper when playing side B ?? Ron Rich

Hi Ron, No, there is no gripper arm in the 1434. It's the plate that moves out of the pile and the shaft that raises the disc at the upmost upper part so that the arm can play underneath the disc side B. I found out the issue. It's that piece called clutch hub located at the bottom of the shaft, there were 2 allen screws that were unevenly tighten. So I tighten both screws and now it's playing ok side B.
Cheers
