my restored 474 seems to give unlimited plays for 25 cents. I have tried several different dip sw configurations as well as removing the album play board and jumpers. I dont know how many it is playing for a quarter but it is more than 15 or so. Can anyone tell me how to set the quotas...I have the original service manual but the dip configs are very confusing. Thanks in advance.

What coin are you using as your base price (for one play)? And what coins and pricing structure are you intending to use?

thanks for chiming in Norman...I am using quarters for base and I would think 10 plays for a quarter would be fine. I am still trying to grasp how the accumulator circuit works and have yet to see any of the changes I have made make any difference. After the qurter is loaded I will make 3 selections after which i will continually hit the credit subtract switch hoping to the the "make another selection" light go out but it doesn't...even after 20 or so credit subtract switch activations. What am I missing?

Steve, It would be my GUESS, that that phono has "been set for free play" ! IF RockOla followed their usual course of doing what Seeburg did, the base coin would be a nickel. Does the manual say anything about "free play" (Mr. Rockola, once told me with a wink in his eye, I used the same engineers as old J.P. did--- he just never knew it !) ? Ron Rich

Hi Steve, I've never had one of these to play with so no experience. In order to get 10 plays for a quarter, you would have to set the base price at 5c (one unit per credit). You would then need to alter the credit unit so that only C2 pulses when you insert a quarter (10 units). If only C3 pulses you get 20 units. Alternatively, you could set the base price at 10c (2 units per credit) and ensure only C3 pulses.
