Gentleman , I have tried to find this answer myself and on the forum, I know the spring under he tone arm adjusts the pressure on the cartridge/needle
My problem is even when the spring is set to the least amt of pressure , it is still too much , if i touch below the back of the tone arm slightly the record plays nicely ,
if not it is distorted and scratchy . could this indicate a weak adjustment spring ? It is all I can find as far as how to adjust the tone arm pressure and its not enough, thank you, Bob

Hi Bob, Looks like you've got that the wrong way round, minimum spring pressure equals maximum cartridge pressure - see page 20 of the manual.

well, I did read it in the manual and looked like it was max tension was least weight . I guess I read it wrong. My fault

Yes that's correct, maximum spring tension is least weight!
