Hi there all,
Greetings from Cincinnati suburbs, Ohio, USA!
I own two jukeboxes currently. I own an AMI-C which I have had for about 30 years. It was cleaned up by me and I have it in great operating condition. It is about 95% original, it does have a replacement speaker and I replaced the front plastic louvers, as the originals were all cracked and chipped. It has been modified for 45 rpm (before I got it) which is great because I have over 1,000 45's dating back to when I was a young kid in the early 60's, Looks great in my basement but I''l be selling it to make space for the other jukebox that I just acquired. If anyone has a model C, I'm willing to offer my advice on any part of it as I have rebuilt the amp and I know the mechnicals of it quite well too.
My second jukebox, which I just acquired a few weeks ago is an original 1946 Wurlitzer 1015. It currently doesn't run currently but I have plenty of time to tinker with it as I am retired. It looks pretty original but I'm certain that the previous owner must have replaced some parts as they look "too good" if you know what I mean. I did look at the lighting so far, I have all lights working and color cylinders are rotating. One of the 8 bubbler tubes isn't bubbling so I'll be checking into the heater resistor and see whats up. Haven't looked at it mechanically much but the motor does run. It needs new veneer on the cabinet and that's going to be a challenge for me. I'll be posting for help as needed on this.
