I purchased a reproduction “Thank You” for my Rockola 1426

Has anyone been successful at removing the “Thank You” lens from a Rockola 1426? I’ve purchased a replacement for the faded original, but don’t want to attempt removing fearing I would destroy something irreversible. 

This is in reference to the Thank You that lights up when a coin is inserted
