Hi all , my brother in law has had this ami/rowe R-87 for several years ,it has however got somewhat temperamental , he had someone replace the battery in the computer some years ago and had been fine . Yesterday I took a look at it for the first time , it would not play this time and the digits in the ccc seemed to not be present , it did have the vdc light on though . I took the back off the ccc and checked the battery ,which was fine , on reconnecting the ccc it has no life and no vdc light on , is the voltage in/out diagram available for the ccc , its a 6-08870-06 . The power supply has the +8vdc and the 28v lights lit , I have not measured the voltages yet though . I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction , I had planned on re soldering the pins on the connectors of the ccc as a place to start . regards ..

Hi Mark, Yes-- Service manuals are available --read our "Hi Newbies" and "books--where to find--" posts, in the FAQ's section. You have picked good "places to start"--measure voltages--re-solder all "headers". see the "common Rowe problems" post, above-- Ron Rich

Hi I managed to sort this issue, I found 0.6 volts on pin 14 (should be 7.5) of P105 on the CCC it was just a bad connection on P205 all working again in time for Christmas , very pleased brother in law , He is quite keen to play cd,s through it , I don't suppose you could direct me to a good how to for this .
