My AMI/Rowe MM5 has developed a little bit of a sound problem. There's no sound apart from a hum from the right speakers. By swapping the phono plugs into the preamp it simply appears to be the cable assembly that needs remaking which I'll do today or tomorrow. While looking at the manual and pondering what was going on I have a couple of questions. Is the 7 pin connector a standard 7 pin Din? The manual shows 6 wires coming out of the 7 pin connector but only four to the phono plugs. I take it this is an error. There only appears to be four wires from the arm itself into the connector - without taking the assembly apart it's difficult to see properly. Would it be considered safe to connect a computer line or headphone out to the jukebox preamp phono sockets? I don't see why I should ever want to do this, it was just something I thought of. You can see the jukebox at brisray.com/house/jukebox.htmI don't seem to be able to add images but you can see the flaky cable and a scan of the tone arm assembly from the manual at drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jXCCGTfnJbLQYHCP_u2c6urF7yaBsloN?usp=sharing

I just realized the image of the cable from the manual is of the one from the cartridge to the 7-pin connector. It still seems wrong.
