Hello all, New to Forum I recently purchased a Rock-ola 432 GP160, everything worked fine until now. I selected A1 all worked fine and while A1 was playing I selected B1, upon completion of A1 carrier arm returned record to slot carriage rotated to B1 and then nothing the turn table continued to turn but the carrier arm never picked the record up. I pushed the reset button, and the carriage never returns to home just stays on B1, also turned machine off and back on with no result Please Help

Do you have the Service Manual for your phono--do you know where the gripper motor is ? If so, see if you can move the gripper motor armature using the knurled shaft end, sticking out of the rear of that motor ? Ron Rich

Ron thanks for the response, I have read the article and I am pretty confident that the Gripper motor is oiled good as I just purchased the item and it was refurbished prior to my purchase, I currently cant get it to do anything when I make a selection I dont even hear the clicking sound it used to make the only thing that works is the turntable turns and when I move the scan switch to off the turntable stops and when I move the switch to the scan the record carriage wont move but the turntable does I think let me check, So I take all that back everything seems to be working fine after sitting all night, any Idea why it would start working on its own???...Tim Conroy
