I have a M100A serial #4189. I was told these were made 1948-50. Would this one be a 1948 since it's a lower number?

I doubt anyone is still alive who can answer this-- I can tell you that if the (bad) coin return slot is in the front, it is the early version,on which production probably began in July/Aug '48--Ron Rich
