AMI Model B cab color

Just got a nice B. The cabinet is painted red. Looks nice. Were they all painted? Or all wood veneer? Wondering if I should strip, or leave.
Also missing the color tubes for animation. I 'spose I can make the caps and buy the sheets if nobody has them cheap.

If my great, but not too long memory, serves me well-- I think that they were available in sever color options ? Yes-- I have seen them painted-- I think (once again !) they all were ?? Ron Rich

I know AMI B only in wood verneer. Same with C. Model D came in Bleachwood Bisque or Demitasse Mahagony.
Starting with F several colours were offered, cabinets painted. So was G.

They were offered in Mahogany plywood.

THANKS. Any thoughts as to value? Whether I should go back to original or leave painted. As if I'll ever sell.

That depends entirely on you-- Iffin youz happy with it as is--leave it ! Iffin you have a crystal ball, and can tell if the next owner will pay a premium for an "original" -- change it ! Ron Rich

This information was most likely "stored" in a different drawer for a very short moment for a very good reason - only to be put back right away. :-)
