Does anyone know the difference between 259, 259a and 259b Wurlitzer steppers?
I see that 259 and 259a are both using old type contactors, and 259b is using newer plug-in type relays. All three are made for 100-select machines. 259 is listed in 2410, 259a is listed in 2610, 259b is listed in 3010.
I am getting two 259b steppers to restore. One will be for my 3010. The other is for someone who owns 2410, so we want to make sure that it will work with his 2410.
Thank you.

From what I gathered so far, 259a/b have more features like connections to external speakers, top tunes and income computer. So they still work with older jukeboxes like 2410, just nothing connected to the front set of terminals... Looks like I will have another project, 259b stepper to work on, then 257 stepper... Good thing they are all interchangeable - 259, 259a, 259b... my 3010 is barebones without top tunes, so perfect for me
