In my M100C, there is a part #245595, called a ‘Dashpot’. It is located on the trip mechanism assembly, and appears to replace a rubber bumper used on previous models. It appears that it’s purpose is to ‘minimize and absorb mechanical shock at the reset lever when the mechanism is tripped’.
I’m not sure if mine is working properly, I suspect the magic fluid has leaked out of it. (Analogous to electronics when the ‘magic smoke’ gets out).
Anyone know how to test or service this part?

Hi Tony, In all the years I have only seen one bad dash pot-- side of container was split, allowing that magic fluid to come out-- If the coil stop does not "bang" too hard, I woodnot worry about it--I woodbe more worried about the Detent coil's "rubber washer"-- Ron Rich
