Hi there I'm a newbie to this forum and would like some info on the possibility of adding my own cancel switch to stop the current record playing please. Has anyone managed to accomplish this ? Not using the Rock-ola accessory
After doing some research I realise that there is actually Part No 2156-2 or 2173 to perform this function, but I am wondering if it would be possible to just simply wire in a switch to control just the cancel function ? Thank you
Stephen

That should do it -- all they used was a "doorbell" switch . Ron Rich

Hi Ron and thanks for your input,
I will do as you suggest but I've now given myself a more pressing problem, whilst dusting inside the box I've accidently caught the styli with a cloth and bent it out of shape The cartrige is a Shure M44MR and after doing a search I'm really unsure which styli I should be buying, any ideas please.
Also puzzeled that this post is not in the Rock-ola headed posts section.
Thank you Stephen

Hi Stepdey, Oh, well -- whut can be said-- L@ k in our FAQ's section for "books--parts post" - You will find a supplier, or two, there- I strongly suggest, that if possible, you purchase "Gen-U-whine" stylii !! Also puzzling me--I find this post, in the RockOla section Ron Rich

Thanks to you both,
I have just had a look inside the amp and can see how easy it would be to extend the wiring to a momentary switch outside the jukebox,
by disconnecting existing cable at the cancel switch and extending wiring to a new switch.
I also can see how it would be relatively easy to extend the volume control by much the same method, in this case I would use the existing switch.

Yes-- that can be done-- I would suggest you not do that-- but add a switch to the terminals for a "remote volume control"-- see the wiring diagrahm in the Service Manual-- Ron Rich
