Sometimes a record does'nt quite line up with the turntable as the gripper arm releases it, and the record consequently slides off the turntable.
I have researched this problem, but have not come across this question anywhere yet..... Is there anyway to adjust the turntable so that it aligns up perfectly with the gripper arm please.

That is usually covered in the manual - however, I cannot find it in the 477 manual! It's quite straightforward though. Select a record and just as it's being placed on the turntable, stop the mechanism and note how far and in which direction off centre the record is landing. Return the record to the basket and power off. Remove the turntable, loosen the fixings on the turntable mounting plate (two screws at the back and two nuts at the front usually) and adjust the plate to correct the offset. Reassemble and repeat the above to check for success!

Suggestion---BEFORE, "adjusting anything"-- is the gripper assembly PROPERLY, lubricated Ron Rich

1/. Norman, Thanks for that mate, I will do that, thanks, surprised too that this was not covered in the manual.
2/. Ron, Yes it had been stripped and oiled and cogs greased where necessary before I recently purchased it, thanks.
Just a bit strange how just a few records miss centering on the turntable, which puzzled me.
Thanks to both of you Stephen

Hi Stephen, If it's only a few records, are they dinked and are they dinked centrally?

Hi Stephen, If it's only a few records, are they dinked and are they dinked centrally? Norman. Good point Norman, I did think that might be the case or the dinked hole was a bit "rough" round the edges, so I'm gonna look at the records which mis-align before I do any adjustments, ( that is when I can remember which ones have this problem) . Otherwise I'll be having to check 80 odd records !
