Hi, I will be replacing the two motor mounts on my HF100R shortly. Is there a particular technique for removal and installation that will make this a somewhat easy job?
I was thinking that a Dremel tool with a small cutoff wheel would be good to cut the old inner ring off of the motor body.
But, what about installation? It looks like the original was press fit into place.
Any tips from someone that has done this would be appreciated!
Thanks, Wes

The Dremel is a good idea--yes--press fitted- I use a board and hammer it down on all sides, evenly as possible

I used a small gear puller, the type with adjustable arms, to remove the old mounts. To install the new ones use a large deep socket and tap the new mount evenly. Place the motor on a wooden "jig" so the shaft passes through a hole and the body of the motor sits on the wood. A 2x4 or similar will work. Be sure the new mounts are seated on the motor at the same place as the old ones or else the motor won't fit into the brackets. Hope this helps. Steve

Thanks Ron and Steve for the good techniques. I have my pin bank in hundreds of pieces now, but will be back on the motor shortly!

I guess my motor mounts are completely shot then, I pulled them off the motor by hand. They slipped right off and back on again They're in pretty sorry shape. Where's the best place to order replacements? It's for a Seeburg Q-160 S.

I pried one of mine off with a screwdriver, the other had fallen off already. They tapped back on easily enough with a drift and a small hammer. Possibly the flange on my motor was worn somewhat but the new ones fit snugly.
I would also replace the little rubber pad that supports the bottom of the motor, if the Q has one that is.

That's exactly what I did plus as Ron Rich suggested, I changed the motor coupling too. Might as well do all 3 while you're in there. Anyway, it fixed my problem and I'm enjoying the jukebox now!
