Does this machine have a remote reject button some where ? Either it is stuck, or another one is stuck closed, -- Is this phono "new to you", or has it been working a long time ? When was the last time the gripper motor was oiled, properly, with the proper oil ? Ron Rich

It could also be the circuit/sensor that senses there is no record and immediately cancels the cycle. There is a screw to adjust the height at which the tonearm position will cancel playback, but I wouldn't adjust it without using the procedure from the service manual. Ron's question is valid... if it WAS working and suddenly started doing this, it may be something else. That adjustment wouldn't get out of whack by itself.

Hi Dave, My contention is that NO-zero--none- "Adjustments, get out of whack", by themselves !-- Only time "adjustments" are necessary, is when "ware" parts are replaced, or "worn" ! Ron Rich

Very true. It's always because of the jukebox's natural enemy: people with screwdrivers. :-)
