The other J problem

Same 100J, different problem. I can add credit, pricing unit accepts it, select light comes on, latch bar solenoid energizes. Make a selection. The buttons don't release. The latch bar solenoid stays energized. The cancel solenoid in the credit unit does not energize. If I pust it manually, it cancells the credit and releases the latch bar solenoid. I haven't dug to far into this, other than making sure everything in the credit unit moves like it should. The starting switches in the selector seem to be making. Possibly a bad cancel solenoid?

Yep-- very rare that the cancel coil is open--I would look for a bad starting switch in the ES-- meter the coil ? Ron Rich
