Would not having any records loaded in the rack, cause carriage to go to selection and pick up arm goes thru action of picking up record and then scans over to next selection and does again,thanks

Yes. There is a contact on the stripper plate that engages if no record is loaded. This causes the mech to scan to the next selection.

I really can't thank you enough, I'm glad I took the time to read a trouble shooting section which mentioned a stuck cancel switch which brought me back to the schematic and thinking. Placing a handful of records in the machine correct that problem and also corrected the reset pin solenoid that rides on the "selector contactor block".
Tomorrow I'll tackle the credit mechanism.......
