Seeburg G100 or Wurlitzer 1400? Both are same money, both cabinets in good shape, but no major rehab like the amp or speakers, both owned by widows downsizing. Both will play a couple 45s without a hangup but that’s about all I know about condition. The Seeburg has the plastic side pieces, not chrome. Collectibility-wise which is most valuable? Other than value the Seeburg is a couple hour drive, the Wurlitzer 4 hours. The Seeburg comes with 500 45s, the Wurlitzer I’m told plays 78s and 45s. I like Seeburg. I have a couple. But this could be my first Wurlitzer.

I was going to say, if you want an easy life - go for the 100G! But since you already have two Seeburgs, maybe it's time for a Wurlitzer? Collectability is always difficult because there are many variables. What I would say is that if you were looking to sell in the future, it would probably be easier to shift the 100G. You could always buy them both, then decide which you prefer!

I would stay as far away from WurliTzer models, 1200-1600. as I could-- very "problem prone" in my humble opinion ! Ron Rich

I’m glad I posted my question. It’s quite obvious what I should be doing. I’ll pursue the Seeburg for sure.
