Is there a cross-reference somewhere that shows what amps are interchangeable? Or are all the TSA amps backwards compatible? I have an LS1 that doesn't have an amp so I can't even test it. I may be able to get a TSA8 or TSA10 but will those work in the LS1? I'm not near my books and manuals right now so I'm not sure if this info is already in there.

TSA-1 and -3 are interchangeable, with each other only, as long as the (optional) DS speakers are not used. TSA 4-9 are interchangeable--just plug and play--HOWEVER, audio quality may not be ideal, with an alternate amp in an individual model. TSA 10 will fit, but the volume control is not attached. SHP amps, will fit--same volume control requirements, BUT, should NEVER be used as the air vent is not properly positioned for use that way. Ron Rich

I partially disagree with Ron here; TSA-1-4 have input stages designed for the T-stylus carts. These have a lower output and impedance than those used from 1966-end. The result is that the input stage is mis-biased dues to Seeburg's goofy design and slightly overloaded when using a 345 (yellow styli) cart on the older amps. You'll get a muddy and excessively bassy sound.
TSA -1-3 are designed for 16 ohm loads, thereafter all Seeburg amps were for 5 ohm.
For your machine a TSA-5 through 9 or a 10 -w/external volume control will match both cart and speakers.
