Hi guys i am thinking of adding an external credit button to this jukebox, I have attached a photo of the rear side of the machines credit switch. The switch has three posts. Am i correct in thinking i need to wire the red/wht and green/wht to one side of my two post switch and the two reds to the other? pete

Hi Ron the manual does not discuss an external free credit button, and this unit does not have coin mech, the button i show in the photo can give from 1 to 8 credits depending on setting, its from the factory. I didnt want to remove the latch bar solenoid and alter the subtract to make it continuous. pete

Pete, You are fergettin' whut you don red in the "Hi Newbies post" --no jukebox was designed to play for free-- the purpose of a jukebox is to MAKE money ! Not having the correct manual on that model phono, I can only GUESS at what/where that switch does/is connected too-so, if you are set on adding an outside switch, you will need to RTFM (schematic) of that circuit ! Hi Ron, no i didn't forget what i read about free play, i just haven't seen an adapter for the Rock-Ola like the ones for the Seeburg, i have seen diagrams for rewiring the latch/lock bars and solenoid to make it free play. I just felt the best plan was to use the Rock-ola internal credit switch, I was trying to connect a 3 point connector to a 2, that way i would not have changes anything on the unit. I will try to find the same type of switch and extend the wires to the external panel of the jukebox. pete

Hi Pete, I can't tell you what to do, as I don't have the schematic-- a "2 position switch" probably, can not be used here-- You can remove the switch and extend the wires to the rear-- but I dono- does that engage the latch bar solenoid ?--if so, I. would NOT do it ! Ron Rich

My manual doesn't have a schematic that shows the switch, after more thought this switch may have been added by a tech, seems clean and professional. On this unit because of the coin box and parts being butchered ,there probably was no way to add credits simply, what this switch does is the same as adding a half dollar, you get 8 credits and yes it engages the latch bar solenoid, but the solenoid stop when the credits are completely used. pete

Pete, That appears to be factory to me--is it "marked" on the other side, and if so, what does it say ? Ron Rich

It does say credit on the other side, definitely factory. The bottom portion of my coin system is still in place, i found the first switch give me one credit per contact, the nest two nothing but the 4th one 8 credits per contact. Im thinking now of just wiring into the first contact switch and the red power wire to a button, that way when i push credit i will get one, or as many as i wish to play. pete
