Hello from Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I go by Jamison and am a new member here.
My jukebox is a Rock-ola 483. I have owned this one since 2006.
Along with the 483 I have the Service Manual, Parts Manual and Schematic.
I will be going over to the Rock-ola section now to see if I can find a solution to the problem I am having.
I am not exactly sure how to approach this site and don't want to break any rules. Perhaps I could describe the problem here and someone could point me to the best page?
My jukebox has been stored for many years and the mechanism battery (6.0v, 1.1Ah Ni-Cd) is dead. This I know how to replace.
Jukebox works correctly and passes all tests in the service manual up to the point of using the keypad to select a record. There is no response from the keypad at all.
While running a test and playing records everything works correctly. Coin accepter works, "Record Playing" light is on, and correct record number appears on the display.
I'm an old guy and usually spend my time restoring radios, amplifiers and the sort from the vacuum tube days, so this is a little daunting.
Thanks in advance for your help, everyone.
