I have a 1967 Seeburg SS160 D-TAC
Has the standard load then reject. One quick question and I have read the stickies, the manuals and
a thousand pages.
When pressing the trip/detent lever while loading it chatters and doesn't load... seems to me common
sense says mechanical but I believe the consensus is electrical. Which is it?
Please and thank you,
Fred

Hi Fred, I'm not quite sure what you are doing by "pressing the trip--lever" Pressing where, on what ? Lifting the lever should cause the clutch to engage, thus going into the transfer position -- What's chattering ? Ron Rich

Hi Fred, The way I read that is -- it says "if electrical in nature--" I make that out to be "electrical" ? Ron Rich

So based upon this it is definitely not a clutch yoke pivot shaft problem?
It should be be one of the electrical problems you have outlined in the mech guide?
I have checked the tormat for misalignment after moving the juke and it looks good. I have gone thru the seeburg manual for that machine and have checked the switches (I only have pinball and slot machine experience with switches and coils) This machine was sitting in a shed for several years and the guy swears it was working upon storage. One time since I have had it. It suddenly played one side of one record and never did it again! Go figure, LOL.
I will now go thru your mech guide and follow your precise instructions and see if it will work.
Thanx again -=Fred=-

Fred, Will it "play" if you remove the mute/mech plug from the amplifier ? If so, will it continue playing if you insert that plug while it's playing ? (Also--what does the Tormat "alignment" have to do with this problem ?) Ron Rich
