Hi guys i have a AQ100 that i received in bad shape, i have cleaned it up, got the unit to select properly after recapping power supply and amp, changing some tubes ,readjusting frog and readjusting RO switch, cleaned all other switches some with just thick card paper and Deoxit 5 and some with added burnrisher. My issue is with low volume, ive cleaned the contacts on the cart,(confirmed it is the correct cart and needles. , confirmed all tubes are fine, went over resistors and have not found open or way out values. Any ideas on where to look next. pete Forgot to mention checked the volume pot, its a 25000 ohm pot, meter read 24300 ohm at full volume and 1013 ohm at min, i feel the pot is good.

I don't think there's a magic answer, Pete! Firstly, have you checked the DC voltages? If so, then inject a signal as detailed on the schematic notes and determine whereabouts it's failing - or alternatively have it serviced by somebody competent in amplifier troubleshooting and repair.

I guess i was hoping for something obvious, i have the manual coming from Victory Glass but to Canada it takes forever, so I dont have the schematics for the CIHFA code A amp. I will wait for it and do the test you mention. Thanks Norman

There's not much that's obvious that would affect both channels other than DC voltages or possibly the AVC.

Hi Norman , I am trying to confirm the voltages from the tormat to the amp, could you or someone on this site tell me what voltages should be at the 4 pins on J508. I must not be reading this correctly because my findings are not close to what i think they should be. I just want to confirm what the schematics show thanks pete ( update it is confirmed 6.3 vac at 13-14 and 120 at 15-16. )
