Can someone tell me what senses 45/33 and pulls the speed control relay? Speed is right if I push the relay by hand. Thanks.

There is a switch that is actuated by the Clamp Arm, the arm that holds the record against the turntable.

The 45's and 33's are the same size ,aren't they? What is the difference that activates the switch ?

33 1/3 records have a small clamp hole, 45's have a big hole. The clamp arm moves farther into the turntable when clamping a 45.

The switch closes when clamping a 45. Relay doesn't pull tho. Anyone have a detail between clamp switch and relay?

If someone could tell me where the power for the speed relay comes from, and if there is another switch between the clamp switch and the relay. Weather the switch provides a voltage, or a ground. I don't have a schematic and plan on selling when I get it going. Thanks

Thank you! I should be able to find the problem now. If the switches check out, do you know where the 25 volts comes from? AC or DC? And path to ground?

You should have 24VAC on pin 2 of the auto speed unit plug/socket which goes directly to the relay coil. It's fed from the control centre via fuse F3101. It's grounded via the reset lever contact.

Thank you thank you! The switch "P" in the diagram was not contacting . Works great now. Like always once I find the problem, the fix was easy. Thanks for taking the time to walk me through it. Not everyone would. May you and yours be blessed.
