Hi guys i posted earlier and issue with sound volume on an amp i recapped. The general consensus was there had to be an issue with the amp. I purchased a rebuilt amp that was professionally done. When i installed it it had perfect volume, i played about 10 songs all perfect. The box has sat for a few days and today it again plays with very low volume. there must be something else that is causing this. Any thoughts ? thanks pete

Now that i knew the amp could not be the issue i have focused on the wiring after the tonearm to the pick up connector, i had already tried a few different carts to confirm it wasnt the issue. It looks like the pickup connection is original but when i opened the metal cover it looked like the some of the ground strands were touching the pins that send the signal, they look like they are encased in plastic but hard to tell. I repositioned the ground and reinstalled. I did get the volume back but still am not sure that was the issue. pete
