Hello all I have a couple of questions about the Continetal 2 Jukebox. 1. when making a selection the search motor stops at the selicton, the soleniod activates and makes the selection but then continues to spin . the only way to stop it is to press the cancel button on the keyboard. This happens when there are credits still on the machine. If no credits left, scan motor stops after selection is made. Any ideas? Also to make a selection you have to press the number button first then the letter button. If you press the letter button first it will not make a selection. I do have the factory manusl for this jukebox. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Happy thanksgiving to all. Norman

Hi Norman,
There are "end switches" on each of the three button bank sections and it is these which initaiate the search sequence, that means when both a letter and a number are pressed, there is a series link through two end switches to bring in the motor control relay R3. So it shouldn't matter whether a number or letter button is pressed first - see manual page SSS-23. There must be some wiring error in that circuit that requires attention. Possibly when you resolve that, you may also cure the search motor issue.

Hello all I have a 200 selection Continital2 with a problem. If there is only one credit on machine it works ok it scans for record, seletcts it then scan motor stops. if there is more than one credit on machinr it scans for selection when it finds selection it stops for a second, selects that record, then starts to scanning for a record that is NOT selected. and have to stop by killing power to the juke. all contacts have been cleaned including thebrotorary contacts. And yes i have the full shop manual for this machine. Thank you in advance for any help you can give. Norman

When you say "scan" are you talking about the record magazine turning? Or are you referring to the operation of the 'search unit'?
Is this the same issue you previously posted about?

Update got to the friends house cleaned all contacts including the "end" contacts. problems fixed works fine thank you all for the info. NOW is there a source for the "Wipers" on the search unit? the ones on the unit i was fixing were in poor shape. Thanks Norman
