Juke box vs. wall box vs. wall juke box

We have a Rowe Ami JAL juke. On and off we have looked at getting a wall box to work with it. My son was looking today and saw "wall boxes" and "wall jukeboxes."



At first we thought a wall jukebox was like a mini juke that hangs on a wall. In other words, it has a phonograph in it. And we thought a wall box was a remote control for a juke. After looking at things more, we now think what is called a wall jukebox is essentially a wall box with speakers (in other words, there is no record playing ability, it controls a juke and gets the sound from the juke).



I tried searching for an answer to this, but I'm not sure I found anything definitive.

If you want to use a wallbox (ie remote selector) with your JAL, you will need a stepper in your jukebox. Some wallboxes like the Seeburg SC and AMi Wallette series had loudspeakers. A wallmount jukebox would be something like the Rock-Ola 403.
