Hello,
I have this jukebox and it operates reasonably well. There are two things I would love to fix however. The first is a noisy solenoid when you select records, it starts to hum loudly. If I make another selection, the mechanical action seems to then quiet the hmm down to normal levels. Can you please advise the best way to fix this. There are no mechanical issues whatsoever.
The second problem is that the platter is a bit fast. Is there any way to adjust this. My friends say it is fine, but I can tell it is racing thru the records and I would like to slow it down. It kinda drives me crazy. Thanks for whatever information you can provide. It is appreciated!

Hi Mike, Which solenoid, is it the latch plate solenoid? Is your jukebox on free play and the solenoid permanently energised? With regard to the speed, there is a link to a strobe disc in this thread jukeboxaddicts.proboards.com/thread/710/nsm-city-rotation-speed-adjustmentYou can paste it to an old 45 and check whether it is really fast. If it is, have you closely inspected the motor spindle, is there any tape or heat shrink sleeving put there to increase speed? Norman.
