Hello from Florida! I am currently restoring a Cont 2. It's my first attempt on AMI's as I have mostly experience in Rockola and Wurlitzer. I have noticed that after powering up for awhile that the junction box switch will become "hot" with 110v. That's a nice little welcome when you reach down to turn it off! Once dissipated after touch, it will be fine for a bit and then return. I have rewired all the wiring in the box, except the power transformer. After that, it still continues to "zap" me. I have isolated it down to the power transformer as I can put a meter on the housing and that seems to be the culprit, some sort of short there.
Question, can these multi tap transformers be found anywhere? It appears that there a three output wires with voltages of 43.6V and 21.5v and 21.5v. My search on google has been limited. Plenty of two tap, but not three. Or is there a way to repair this one?
Many thanks!

Hi JT, Do you have the manual with the overall schematic? I agree something is not right but these voltages that you're measuring on the three output wires from the transformer, what are you reading them with respect to? And your mains supply, is it a three wire supply with ground or just two?
Norman.

Hey Norman. Thanks for the response, but it was me and a bonehead moment. I had Rewired all the lights while the mechanism was out. I accidentally put the mech mount on top of one of the wires. It was enough to create the issue. Lesson learned.
I do have the manual but it does not include The overall schematic. It would be nice to have if someone has one.
Thanks again!
