optical switch index LED blinks erratically. its like its missing its count. read somewhere if it does this the carousel will just keep spinning forever. I removed sensor and cleaned it with windex. still erratic. home led blinks once every revolution. can the holes that the optice sensor read through be dirty or clogged too. help me out here. I have a video of it but its too big to post. thanks Al

Hi Al,
It might help if you said what jukebox model you're dealing with! Generally speaking, the disc would have to be particularly dirty to affect operation but that would be possible I suppose. Did you clean the light source as well as the opto sensor? Other things to check, poor connections or damaged wiring.

sorry bout that Juke. R-88. cleaned optics. reset off slot 99 and still intermittent led response. heavy film of yellow grease around top motor area. gonna just try getting in there and cleaning around it. checked cables best i could and they look good. get back to you.
