Hi. just signed up. I purchased this used unit from a dealer 20 - 30 years ago at Pico Blvd in downtown Los Angeles. Back then portion of that street had quite a few outfit selling and servicing jukeboxes and pinball machines. The unit worked very well until the 10 years ago... . Now I know it requires frequent lubrication but I never performed even once. That could be it. I joined some forum 20 - 30 years ago, and someone from Souther California back then said he had never seen one and would like some photos. I cannot find my old emails. It could be Ron Sad to learn after joinning this forum Ron has passed. Another jukebox guru put on his website that this unit was a rear Seeburg. That was Mr. Tony Miller who also passed. I hope to revive the unit before I pass also.... Here's a link to Tony Miller's article about the 100-79M , aka SMC 1 jr (DaVinci) for anyone that is interested. www.segalandassociates.com/fmiller_website/smc1_jr.htmlinkI will also put a thread later on looking for tips how to start troubleshooting. Yes, I already read many threads on troubleshooting, including Ron's book, but still none specific to the symptoms I am seeing and where to start. Great forum and my prayers that this forum will continue. PS Sorry do not know how to upload photo of my unit. When i click on the insert image, it asks for entering a URL. My photos are simply jpg files contained in my harddrive.. It looks exactly as pictured in the Tony Miller article. 31 hobbies.

Hi 31hobbies, welcome to this forum. Pictures can't be uploaded at all, no matter of the file size. To refer to a photo you would need using an extra photo hoster or a cloud (e.g. dropbox or so). Then either an URL which inserts the photo into your post or a link to the photo or can be given. Read also here: jukeboxaddicts.proboards.com/thread/1784/pictures-upload You already researched a lot and yes, it is a great loss that both Tony and Ron passed away. Soon it will be one year since Ron went ... Model 100-79M resp. E100-79M (export version), is not often seen. In Germany this model was introduced in 10/1981. So far we still don't know if it was already developed by Seeburg in fall 1979. Or if it was solely built by Stern after purchasing the major assets of Seeburg. Our database for serial numbers lists 8 models so far - means 8 people entered a number. There might still be more around. sdb.jukebox-world.de/index.php?action=showmodel&id=5293sdb.jukebox-world.de/index.php?action=showmodel&id=5294Hildegard
