unable to do a factory reset on a Rowe-Ami CD100

Hello!

I finally gave in and sent the CD unit out to get repaired.

The CD unit would play at times, also when trying to to intialize a CD it would fail, so you would the "not allowed" message.

I recieved  the repaired the other day, installed and it works great!

Here are my new issues with this "box"; 

When I move the service switch from "service" to "normal" to "board error led" stays on, yet sometimes it will go off.
The only way I can clear it is to tour off the power on the service switch, then turn it back on.
Is this normal? 

So, I wanted to do a "Factory Reset" to level set the box, but I can't get it to work.

Will pulling the battery from the "CCC" board force a Factory Reset?

Pulling the battery should restore factory settings.

Marty, thanks for the info. I will try that tonight, I may have done that, but can't remeber....that's what happens when you get "old"!
