I have an M100C and am contemplating doing the 'lytics. I'm going to have to work underneath seeing the cans are no longer available. What happens when litics go bad anyway? Can the amp be totaled?

Okay thanks. An analogy if you will would be the same with a flickering florescent light bulb. Any typical "tell" that would imply these going bad is good to know. I just put in two 'lytics in an old Zenith "Owl" radio?alarm clock. Incredible sound for the size if anyone is a collector. Easy to work on.

Does anyone have a picture as an example for the replaced lytic caps underneath the chassis? It seems like a tight fit to begin with. If done this with smaller tube chassis but there was more room and much less risk dollar wise

Hi Edison, There is "plenty of room" ? I usually add a terminal strip and put all of the plus sides on the terminals, along with the proper red wire. I ground ALL of the caps, to the strung ground, that ran from the cans--leave it intact ! I use a drop of RTV to attach the caps to the chassis. Ron Rich
