Select light

I just purchased my first Jukebox. It is the Wurlitzer 2800. The machine is in very good condition but I noticed the select light does not come on even when there are selections remaining. I checked and the bulb is only getting 0.5 volts when it should be on. The bulb requires 6.3 volts. I do have the schematics for the machine but was wondering if anyone knows anything about this problem and can provide any info on fixing it. Thanks.

Hi Kevin,

The select light circuit gets it's power (-28vdc) through a set of blade contacts on the pre-set solenoid, then goes through a 150 ohm dropping resistor before the bulb.

I'd bet that the blade contacts need cleaning/adjustment.

Thanks Marty, I will check those contacts and resistor. I see that on the schematic. Thanks for your input.
