Hi, I purchased this wallbox to hookup to my SS160. I'm still sourcing out the parts but wanted to make sure the Consolette is working first. The coin mechanism is also missing. In the meantime, I have it hooked up to a "Wallbox2MP3" MP3 convertor. I have everything working now as it will play selections from the push buttons. The only issue I have is that I need to push both the letter and number button at the same time. I think I have the latch bar set up properly according to the repair manual. I've also shorted the white/black wire for freeplay. Any ideas on how to get it to play when I push the letter first, then the number instead of both at the same time? I would also like to set up a button to emulate a quarter drop. Attachments:IMG_2455.MOV (985.99 KB)

Hi Henry, If the keys don't lock in as you push the first button, something is not "set-up" correctly. How are you adding credit to it now ? If you use a button on it to simulate a quarter drop, you risk the probability that the .4 amp fuse will blow-- Ron Rich

I shorted the white/black wire as in the picture.
I found some instructions from the internet as follows:
To turn a SC1 into freeplay, you need to :
In order to modify the circuit so that the three Income Totalizer wires are not needed, you'll need to move the Red, Orange, and Brown wires on the three-terminal strip inside the Consolette so that all three are on one terminal. Connect a 5.6 ohm, 1/2 watt resistor between these and the White wire on the other terminal strip.
If you insist on disabling the coin equipment (not recommended), you do not need to do the above. Instead, you need to locate the Grey (SC) or White/Black (SCH) wire on top of the APU, and short it to Ground. This will allow selections to be made for free, and will take away a big part of the fun of jukebox ownership.
